Responsibilities

  • Provide first-line technical support for hardware, software, printers, and classroom technology.
  • Install, configure, and maintain Windows computers, laptops, and peripheral devices.
  • Assist with the management of user accounts, passwords, and access permissions.
  • Support the school’s network infrastructure, including wired and wireless connectivity.
  • Assist with the setup, maintenance, and troubleshooting of audiovisual equipment for classrooms and events.
  • Perform routine maintenance, software updates, and security checks on school computers.
  • Help maintain IT inventory, asset records, and documentation.
  • Support the deployment of new computers and technology projects.
  • Manage and maintain the school’s website, including updating content, ensuring accuracy, and assisting with the implementation of new features as required.
  • Respond to help desk requests in a professional and timely manner.
  • Work collaboratively with the IT Manager to ensure reliable and secure technology services across the school.
  • Perform other IT-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or completion of degree requirements before employment begins).
  • Good working knowledge of Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office.
  • Basic understanding of computer networking.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently.
  • Good command of spoken and written English.

Preferred:

  • Experience supporting users in an educational environment.
  • Knowledge of Active Directory, Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, networking, virtualization, or web content management.
  • Experience with printers, wireless networks, audiovisual systems, basic server administration, or website management.
  • Relevant IT certifications are an advantage.
